After almost a decade outside of government, one thing is clear: the Ontario Liberal Party cannot rely on a leadership race alone to fix our organization. The work of rebuilding starts outside the leader’s office — it starts from the bottom up, rooted in the grassroots.

Over the past year, more than 600 Ontario Liberals have engaged with our group to share their ideas, frustration, and vision for our movement. Today, thanks to the organizing efforts of hundreds of members across the province, we are thrilled to unveil The Path Forward: Our Vision for the Ontario Liberal Party .

This document is a pragmatic, grass-roots roadmap to transform the OLP into a modern, professional, fighting force that can defeat Doug Ford and deliver for Ontarians.

We’ve focused on four core pillars for party excellence:

Empower the Members: Giving grassroots members a genuine, routine say in policy, adding remote access for AGMs, and creating clear L&D paths for volunteers to become local leaders

Empower PLAs and Regions: Supporting all 124 ridings year-round, modernizing field gear and email tools, and overhauling nominations by removing financial barriers and digitizing voting.

Operational Excellence & Accountability: Publishing executive meeting minutes for full transparency, re-evaluating our party tech stack, and properly investing in staff retention and bench-building.

Always-On Modern Outreach: Shifting away from only emailing members to ask for money, establishing rapid-response communications, and creating formal volunteer roles across the province.

Ontarians are looking for a credible, progressive alternative, but we have to do the unglamorous work of becoming a party worth choosing. Whether you’ve been knocking doors for decades or joined us during our launch in mid-2025, we want to hear from you . Did we miss something? Is there an area you think we should focus more on?
